Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caseworker to join our team at Lutheran Services in Iowa. As a Caseworker, you will play a vital role in empowering children towards success by providing direct service, assessment, and diagnostic skills, treatment modalities, crisis intervention, case management, and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose children's needs, developing treatment plans and progress reports as needed
  • Provide crisis intervention and case management services to children and families
  • Collaborate with other LSI team members and department workers to ensure comprehensive support
  • Author treatment plans, progress reports, and other reports as requested
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related human services field, plus two years of full-time work-related experience, or a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and colleagues
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability
