Position Summary
The Actuary for Inforce Management plays a pivotal role in crafting and enhancing routine and investigative reports that assess the financial and risk performance of various inforce product segments. This role is integral to the Inforce Management team, focusing on identifying and executing cross-functional initiatives derived from report findings and analyses. It operates outside the realm of rate-setting and formal actuarial repricing.
This position is under the direct supervision of the AVP, Inforce Management and may oversee one to two team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive management reports concerning inforce business segments.
- Collaborate with both actuarial and non-actuarial professionals to investigate and draw conclusions regarding inforce segments.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance the financial or risk standing of inforce segments beyond renewal rate adjustments.
- Guide team members through iterative report creation and quantitative or qualitative analysis.
- Foster team engagement, development, and professional growth.
- Promote a culture of risk awareness within the team.
- Implement improvements to establish repeatable and scalable processes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- ASA and MAAA certifications; FSA is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience with increasing responsibility, particularly in Individual Annuities and/or Individual Life Insurance products.
- Experience in actuarial product development, financial reporting, or reinsurance is preferred.

- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- This position does not require travel.
