Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Systems and Project Engineer to join our team at Novanta. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading mid-sized technical projects, developing project scopes and objectives, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mid-sized technical projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Anticipate, identify, and resolve complex organizational and operational problems, leveraging your expertise and experience to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies, maintaining a strong focus on quality and safety.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced team members, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and expertise.
  • Engage cross-functional team members, including purchasing, quality, regulatory, and other departments, to ensure seamless collaboration and effective project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with significant prior experience in electrical systems development.
  • Proven experience in embedded/hardware/systems development for medical devices, robotics, and scientific instruments.
  • Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively manage mid-sized technical projects.
  • Highly proficient in one or more engineering disciplines and project management software tools.
  • Ability to guide and mentor others, providing support and guidance to help them develop their skills and expertise.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The base pay for this position ranges from $106,988 per year to $147,108 per year, depending on the geographic region.
  • Annual bonuses and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of the compensation package.
