The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for managing electrical design packages, overseeing facility design aspects, and ensuring full compliance with industry standards and codes. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage electrical design projects, including load list development, conductor sizing, OCPD sizing, lighting design, switchgear design, estimates, and equipment specification.
  • Oversee facility electrical design, focusing on low voltage electrical distribution, backup systems, grounding, fire alarms, lighting controls, and security systems.
  • Collaborate with project teams, mentor junior team members, and ensure deliverables meet client and industry standards.
  • Provide full lifecycle project support, including system design, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning.
  • Conduct site surveys and offer on-site support during installation phases.
  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant codes such as NEC, IBC, NFPA 101, ASHRAE, and IECC.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • 5+ years of experience working in manufacturing or consulting environments.
  • Proven ability to manage medium-scale electrical projects, including client coordination, electrical system design, and bid package preparation.
  • Experience in distribution design: sizing and specifying equipment, conductors, and protection for low and medium-voltage electrical systems.
  • Expertise in low-voltage systems design, such as lighting, fire alarms, security, and access control systems typically seen in MEP bid packages.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to influence clients and stakeholders to adopt engineering best practices.
  • Familiarity or experience with ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD, and Revit is a plus.
