Position Overview

The Senior Vice President of Operations will oversee the development and management of cost-effective operations that meet and exceed guest expectations through the provision of high-quality food, beverages, and service in a welcoming atmosphere.

This role encompasses comprehensive corporate service responsibilities related to sales, business growth, and team development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a collaborative team environment among staff that is enjoyable, vibrant, and professional.

  • Hold direct reports accountable to the highest standards, demonstrating a proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Utilize expertise in organizational management, process optimization, and change implementation.
  • Collaborate with management teams to enhance guest counts and revenue while cultivating a loyal customer base.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels across all departments.
  • Emphasize the significance of thorough training and onboarding for employees.
  • Accountable for timely performance reviews and improvement plans for associates and managers.
  • Maintain strong financial performance, achieving financial goals and underwriting objectives.
  • Develop and approve annual unit-level budgets for review.
  • Monitor cost control measures and enhance cost-saving initiatives.
  • Ensure timely submission of financial reports and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Guarantee adherence to Standard Operating Policies and Procedures across all operations.
  • Work collaboratively across divisions to ensure strong partnerships with all leaders.
  • Partner with Marketing to devise effective marketing strategies and local programs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, ensuring proper handling and storage of products.
  • Regularly assess management teams' status, using Talent Management Programs to address developmental needs.
  • Conduct property inspections to identify maintenance needs and oversee renovations and transitions.
  • Stay informed on industry trends to keep the portfolio relevant and ahead of the curve.
Supervisory Duties

Oversee 8-12 Property Associates.

Qualifications

Education: A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.

Experience: At least five years as a senior Food & Beverage Executive in a high-volume, full-service environment.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • High ethical standards and values-driven approach.
  • In-depth knowledge of food service health and sanitation regulations.
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar P&L responsibilities.
  • Proficient in training and engaging with management and staff.
  • Ability to analyze reports and utilize technology effectively.
