Pressroom Associate

The Seattle Times is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pressroom Associate to join our team. As a Pressroom Associate, you will play a critical role in maintaining the efficiency of our press operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of printed materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and stack freshly printed items as they come off the press
• Assist Press Operators and other professionals in streamlining print operations
• Follow safety measures and ensure compliance with all safety requirements
• Notify Press Lead Operator of any problems relating to equipment or its operation
• Make minor repairs and adjustments to equipment as needed

Requirements:

• At least one year of previous warehouse/industrial experience preferred
• Basic proficiency in English, both written and oral
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and move 100 pounds
• Ability to climb up and down ladders
• Ability to understand and follow safety guidelines
