Pressroom Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pressroom Associate to join our team at The Seattle Times. As a Pressroom Associate, you will play a critical role in maintaining the efficiency of our press operations, ensuring the smooth delivery of printed materials, and supporting our Press Operators in their daily tasks.

• Assist Press Lead Operator in daily instructions and tasks
• Prepare the press area by emptying garbage cans and verifying proper configuration of printed items
• Stack product into precise alignment on pallets for removal to another area
• Comply with all safety requirements and notify Press Lead Operator of any equipment issues
• Perform minor repairs and adjustments to equipment as needed

• At least one year of previous warehouse/industrial experience preferred (but not required)
• Basic proficiency in English, both written and oral
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and move 100 pounds
• Ability to climb up and down ladders
• Ability to understand and follow safety guidelines

As a Pressroom Associate at The Seattle Times, you will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence. We offer a competitive salary range of $16.82 to $21.61 per hour, with new hires starting at $21.61 per hour. You will also receive an additional night shift differential of $0.50/hr for hours worked between 6:00pm-6:00am.
