Position: Lead Behavioral Therapist

Location: Glen Cove, NY

Monte Nido Glen Cove is a specialized residential treatment facility designed for adults battling Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and Exercise Addiction. Our therapeutic approach emphasizes the restoration of nutritional and physiological balance, the establishment of healthy eating and exercise habits, the cessation of detrimental behaviors, and the cultivation of motivation and engagement in treatment. Our goal is to assist each client in gaining a comprehensive understanding of their eating and/or exercise disorder and its impact on their lives, alongside fostering a personalized path toward recovery.

We are currently looking for a full-time Lead Behavioral Therapist to become an integral part of our interdisciplinary treatment team. The position entails a full-time schedule from Tuesday to Saturday.

Compensation: $58,500 - $72,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering individual, group, and family therapy sessions
  • Acting as a liaison with families and external providers
  • Engaging with insurance companies for pre-certification and utilization management
  • Participating in discharge and aftercare planning
  • Providing therapeutic meal support while exemplifying a healthy relationship with food
  • Ensuring safe, empathetic, and affirming care tailored to each client's unique circumstances and intersecting identities

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in clinical counseling or a related field is required
  • A valid state license (or license-eligible) in a counseling discipline (e.g., Psychologist, LMFT, LCSW, LPC)
  • Experience with eating disorders and higher levels of care is advantageous
  • Familiarity with diversity, equity, and inclusion practices is essential
