Job Overview

Honest Cannabis is seeking an experienced Cannabis Operations Director to oversee and optimize operational processes across various client projects. As a key member of our team, you will support the Director of Operations in planning, executing, and closing projects.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cannabis operations, regulations, and market dynamics, with exceptional leadership skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Operations in planning, executing, and closing projects.
  • Coordinate project activities, resources, and information.
  • Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to internal team members.
  • Use project management tools to monitor working hours, budget adherence, plans, and expenditures.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
  • Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests.
  • Support the Director of Operations in daily administrative tasks and project coordination.
  • Assist in managing project teams and facilitating effective communication.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance across all projects.
  • Review and update existing SOPs to reflect current best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Train team members on new and revised SOPs to ensure thorough understanding and adherence.
  • Travel to various project sites to oversee and support project implementation and management.

Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in project management or a similar role, preferably in the cannabis industry.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of successfully leading teams and managing complex projects from conception to execution.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of cannabis operations, regulations, and market dynamics.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of the cannabis industry regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
  • Experience in developing and implementing SOPs is highly desirable.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
  • Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
