We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Surveyor to join our team at Westwood Professional Services, Inc. As a key member of our Renewables/Power Division, you will be responsible for leading the planning and implementation of survey projects, ensuring operational effectiveness, and providing expert guidance on survey-related activities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the planning and implementation of survey projects, monitoring operational effectiveness and ensuring quality control and quality assurance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for survey-related activities, including construction staking, topographic surveying, platting, legal description writing, boundary analysis, exhibit preparation, and legal principles.
- Work with the Project Manager to define project tasks, schedule, and resource requirements, as well as evaluate project budget, scope, and fee.
- Comply with and enforce company standards, policies, and procedures, and conduct team meetings to evaluate and coordinate project progress.
- Stay current on service-specific trends, technology, software, hardware, and equipment, and provide day-to-day guidance and mentoring to project team staff as needed.
- Ensure division, regional, and company policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service, and lead by example, displaying solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism.
- Professional Survey License with multi-state licensure preferred.
- Four-year degree preferred and/or 10-plus years of experience in a consulting business.
- Effective verbal and written communication is necessary, and independent judgment is essential.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and projects well.
