Amerit Consulting is seeking an accomplished Energy Efficiency Program Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Energy Efficiency Program Engineer to identify, examine, assess, and standardize energy savings within energy efficiency and demand management programs. The ideal candidate will have expertise in energy efficiency technologies, particularly custom projects within the C&I program, and be able to review and evaluate energy efficiency technologies to determine their suitability for our programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing technical documentation, workflow processes, and engineering calculators to expedite and standardize technical reviews and improve on quality of deliverables.
  • Serving as a technical resource for all functional groups within the department, providing active cross-collaboration with other teams to creatively assess and develop technical solutions.
  • Supporting the program management teams in implementing various technologies, codes, and standards relevant to the programs, ensuring compliance with applicable local and state codes and standards.
  • Managing the work queue, coordinating with third-party vendors to ensure timely project completion, and verifying that their desk reviews comply with the program requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, Industrial, Electrical or Energy Related Degree).
  • 7+ years of working experience in energy efficiency, engineering projects, and the building engineering industry.
  • Proficient in reviewing and evaluating energy efficiency technologies, particularly custom projects within the C&I program.
  • Strong technical background in HVAC mechanical systems for buildings.
  • Extensive understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Experienced with building simulation, energy modeling, and code compliance software.
