Position Overview:

The Mortgage Loan Originator is responsible for facilitating first mortgage loans and home improvement financing for clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Initiates residential and commercial loan applications by engaging with clients and collaborating with real estate professionals, builders, and other stakeholders; conducts sales activities at client locations and outside the office environment.
  2. Addresses inquiries from clients regarding loan products and application statuses.
  3. Stays informed on regulatory requirements and internal policies related to lending; participates in ongoing compliance training.
  4. Advocates for the organization's Community Reinvestment Act loan initiatives to real estate professionals in underserved communities.
  5. Maintains a positive representation of the organization through active participation in community events and professional networks.
  6. Cross-promotes the full range of the organization’s financial products, including lending and savings options.
  7. Ensures adherence to fair lending laws and internal policies consistently.
  8. Effectively manages relationships with service providers and vendors, establishing expectations and performance metrics.
  9. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Work Environment:
