The Senior Custodial Supervisor plays a pivotal role in guiding and supporting individuals with significant disabilities, enabling them to cultivate essential work skills and improve their customer interaction abilities within a professional setting. By providing tailored support and mentorship, individuals can enhance their knowledge, capabilities, and interpersonal skills, thereby unlocking various career advancement opportunities within Didlake's framework.

This position is accountable for assisting the Janitorial Supervisor in the comprehensive management, coordination, assessment, and oversight of cleaning teams responsible for maintaining contractual obligations. The Senior Custodial Supervisor dedicates 50% of their time to supporting the Janitorial Supervisor in executing strategic plans for janitorial operations, while the remaining 50% is spent performing cleaning duties.

  • Maintains cleanliness in hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevator banks, stairways, locker rooms, and additional workspaces.
  • Utilizes brooms, mops, and powered scrubbing and waxing machines for floor maintenance.
  • Polishes metal fixtures and fittings to ensure a pristine appearance.
  • Cleans windows, door panels, and sills for optimal visibility.
  • Empties waste receptacles and ensures proper disposal.
  • Restocks bathroom and floor supplies as necessary.
  • Sets a standard through reliability, diligence, strong ethical practices, and professional appearance.
  • Delegates tasks and distributes supplies and equipment to team members, inspecting completed work for adherence to quality standards.
  • Requests supplies and equipment from the Supervisor, APM, or PM as needed.
  • Educates team members on task execution and the proper use of equipment and supplies.
  • Addresses employee and customer concerns, escalating issues to the supervisor when required.
  • May temporarily assist general cleaning staff as needed.
  • Operates power equipment, including two-stage snow blowers.
  • During adverse weather conditions, ensures proper maintenance by clearing snow from walkways and entrances, and applying snow/ice melting agents as specified in the contract.
  • Completes and maintains all mandatory training as required by Didlake.
  • Fosters a positive team environment and ensures high-quality work output.
  • Adheres to conduct and demeanor standards as outlined by Didlake policies.
  • Complies with safety protocols and guidelines in the operation of equipment and during all activities.
