Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Janitor to join our team at Didlake, Inc. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our cleaning crews and ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevator banks, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including brooms, mops, and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
  • Polish metalwork, including fixtures and fittings.
  • Wash windows, door panels, and sills.
  • Empties wastebaskets and replenishes bathroom supplies and floor supplies.
  • Assign tasks and issue supplies and equipment to employees and inspect completed work for conformance to standards.
  • Requisition supplies and equipment from Supervisor, APM, or PM.
  • Train employees on how to do assigned work and in using equipment and supplies appropriately.
  • Address complaints and resolve problems of employees and customers; refer to supervisor as deemed necessary.
  • May fill in for general cleaning staff as needed.
  • Operate power equipment, including two-stage snow blowers.
  • Complete and maintain all Didlake required training.
Requirements
  • High School diploma/GED or any combination of experience/education to equal graduation from the 12th grade.
  • One (1) year recent, relevant experience in commercial custodial or maintenance services.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Some knowledge of general cleaning products and equipment required.
  • Possess the ability to pass and hold a security clearance background check.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to apply common sense and good judgment in fulfilling responsibilities.
  • Ability to interact effectively and supportively with people with disabilities.
  • High initiative, adaptability, flexibility, and a positive team member attitude.
  • Ability to adjust to schedule changes and be available to work weekends when required.
