Position Overview

As a Senior Manager, you will work closely with prominent hedge fund and private equity firms in the alternative asset space, guided by our seasoned team of industry experts. Your role will involve facilitating our service offerings by assisting, executing, and reviewing the following:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist client leads on various Hedge & Private Equity funds across multiple sectors.
  • Oversee team functions to manage client expectations and ensure timely delivery of client obligations in line with the defined partnership agreements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of partnership agreements and apply their terms to financial reporting and allocations.
  • Review journal entries, management fee calculations, investor allocations, capital account statements, and distribution calculations.
  • Conduct daily reconciliations between client records and Prime Brokers.
  • Manage the issuance of capital call and distribution notices to clients and investors.
  • Review monthly NAV packages and update portfolio accounting systems as needed.
  • Evaluate financial statements, notes disclosures, and supporting schedules.
  • Oversee year-end processes and coordinate with external auditors and tax teams.
  • Assess operational efficiency and propose enhancements for process improvement.
  • Handle routine client inquiries and fulfill ad-hoc requests as necessary.
  • Prioritize and manage work tasks to meet competing deadlines.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members.
  • Lead new client onboarding initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in hedge/private equity, public accounting, or a combination of both.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills with expertise in accounting and administration for alternative investment funds.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
  • Experience in leading and developing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional client service.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality work with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Professional communication skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, Investran, Allvue, and Bloomberg is preferred.
