Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Patient First. As a Patient Service Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front office, providing exceptional patient care, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with registration and check-in processes, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Escalate emergency situations to management and provide support as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Provide clear and concise information to patients regarding billing policies, insurance coverage, and other relevant details.
  • Accurately register patients, verify demographic and insurance information, and maintain accurate records.
  • Answer billing and insurance questions, provide itemized statements, and refer complex issues to the appropriate parties.
  • Collect payments, issue receipts, and process incurred charges in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other activities as directed by management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of clerical experience preferred.
  • Basic typing skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and external partners.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 7 hours at a time, with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
