About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of state-of-the-art radar systems and electronic warfare technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and program personnel to design, develop, and test software systems.
  • Participate in cross-functional Six Sigma-style product or process improvement meetings to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and tools to ensure the team is using the latest and most effective technologies.
  • Be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, team-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking to meet the demands of the role.
  • Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including design, coding, and testing to ensure high-quality software systems.
  • Use RMS engineering processes and procedures while performing software engineering and verification activities.
  • Collaborate with teammates across physical sites and lead junior engineers to ensure the team is working effectively and efficiently.
  • This position requires a government security clearance, and U.S. Citizenship is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline with a minimum of 9 years of experience.
  • Software development experience with a strong understanding of software development principles and practices.
  • Experience with software development tools and technologies, including Agile development methodologies and CI/CD tools.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Desired Skills

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical and Computer Engineering.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks and static/dynamic code analysis tools.
  • Experience with Linux and OOA/OOD design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with Agile development process and DevOps tools and principles.
