About Us: Our organization, Watertown School District 14-4, is dedicated to providing high-quality speech/language therapy services for individuals from birth to twenty-one years who are identified with communications disorders. We strive to create an environment conducive to effective learning and to enable all students to succeed in an ever-changing world.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
- South Dakota specialist certification
- Masters Degree required by 2020
Work Schedule: 8:00-4:00 daily, following school calendar term
Job Summary: Providing speech/language therapy services for individuals with communication disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare for students on caseloads
- Develop written Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student
- Stay up-to-date with current research and therapy techniques
- Assess, diagnose, treat, and advise on communication disorders
- Collaborate with professional staff and maintain open communication with students and parents
- Perform other duties as assigned
Evaluation: Performance will be determined according to the school board's evaluation policy.
Professional Expectations: Represent a positive image of the school, students, and staff, supporting the mission of enabling all students to succeed.
