Job Summary:

OU Health seeks a skilled Advanced Practice Manager to lead our team of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) and Physician Assistants (PAs). As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for enhancing the practice of our APPs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the development of our clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with OAP leadership, clinical department physician leadership, and interprofessional colleagues to advance APP practice and education.
  • Support key strategic initiatives and goals of the Office for Advanced Practice.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance APP practice, education, and research initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to APPs, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to excel in their roles.
  • Facilitate hiring, orientation, and ongoing professional practice evaluation of APPs.
  • Monitor APP clinical work expectations and ensure compliance with OU Health policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with APPs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to advance the mission and vision of OU Health.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in one of the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse areas (CNS, CRNA, CNP, or CNM) or Master's degree in Physician Assistant/Associate Studies.
  • 3 years or more in clinical practice with progressive leadership experience.
  • APRN and RN licensure from Oklahoma Board of Nursing and board certification required. Physician Assistant: Current full licensure from Oklahoma Board of Medicine and board certification required.
  • Leadership certification required within 2 years if not obtained upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to provide leadership in a complex environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and effectiveness in building strong working relationships with a collaborative and inclusive leadership style.
  • Evidence of successful collaborations with APPs and Physician colleagues.
  • Flexible and capable of responding to multiple demands in a time-sensitive manner.
  • Ability to exercise thoughtful judgment in all matters related to APPs.
