Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team at OU Health. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients in a dual role of outpatient and/or inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, treat, manage, educate, and coordinate care for patients and families with acute and chronic health needs.
  • Work with administrative, nursing, physician, and university faculty to ensure safe, effective, and quality patient care.
  • Develop, implement, evaluate, and alter the plan of care as needed.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, concise, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing or Master's in Physician Assistant Services.
  • 3 or more years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in designated specialty preferred.
  • Must have prescriptive authority within 6 months of hire.
  • Active RN and APRN license in State of Oklahoma -AND-Some positions may require Acute Care Certification by the ANCC and/or the AANP.
  • Active PA license in State of Oklahoma -AND-Active Physician Assistant certification issued by the NCCPA.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrates knowledge of etiologies, risk factors, pathophysiology, presentation, and epidemiology of medical conditions.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in procedural skills pertinent to practice area.
