Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Athletic Trainer to join our team at UNC Health Care. As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our orthopedic department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, utilizing evidence-based practices and clinical expertise.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating modalities, exercises, and education to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, physical therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Conduct patient education and counseling on injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation, utilizing effective communication skills and medical terminology.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records, adhering to principles of practice and legal standards.
Requirements
  • Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) certification
  • Licensed as an Athletic Trainer by the North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners or license eligible
  • BLS for healthcare providers
  • One (1) year of experience as an athletic trainer preferred
