Position Summary
As a Senior Claims Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and resolving complex claims. Your expertise in workers' compensation will be essential in delivering exceptional service to our clients while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations and evaluations of claims, assessing coverage and liability.
- Gather and analyze necessary documentation, including reports, policies, and statements, to support claims processing.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to facilitate the resolution of claims, attending mediations, arbitrations, and trials as required.
- Make informed recommendations regarding settlements and reserves, ensuring adherence to established authority limits.
- Communicate complex information regarding claims outcomes and negotiations to all relevant parties in a professional manner.
- Ensure timely and accurate issuance of claims payments.
- Uphold compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the claims handling process.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff and other departments.
- Participate in talent selection, development, and performance management for direct reports.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in claims management or a related area.
