Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Screener Specialist to join our team at CSL. As a Medical Screener Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of donors by conducting thorough medical screenings.

About the Role

In this exciting opportunity, you will assist qualified donors in completing the screening process, which includes assessing self-administered health histories, answering basic medical questions, and performing health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature checks. You will also be responsible for educating new donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma, explaining the screening process, health screening tests, appointment systems, donation fees, center policies, proper nutrition, and other pertinent information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough medical screenings of donors, including blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature checks
  • Assist donors in completing the screening process, including answering basic medical questions
  • Educate new donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma
  • Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system
  • Maintain clean and efficient work environment, ensuring sufficient operating supplies and forms are available as needed
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in a medical or healthcare provider environment
  • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as comprehensive benefits, including options for health care coverage, company-provided basic life insurance, and the option to participate in our 401(k) Savings Program.
