Job Summary:

A Service Advisor plays a vital role in ensuring exceptional customer service and experience at Sunroad Enterprises. This individual will work closely with customers to schedule service work, communicate additional service needs, and handle administrative and customer relations aspects of service department operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and deliver a high level of customer service, building rapport and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Schedule service appointments, receive vehicle information, and clearly explain repair orders to customers.
  • Estimate repair costs and times, taking into account customer schedules and preferences.
  • Handle customer complaints in a satisfactory and timely manner, maintaining high customer satisfaction standards.
  • Periodically check on vehicle progress during servicing and contact customers when additional problems are discovered, obtaining approval for additional work and explaining charges.
  • Receive and handle requests for price quotes, purchase orders, order adjustments, and cancellations.
  • Use computer databases to retrieve customer information, inventory data, and purchase order status.
  • Provide pricing, delivery, and order information to customers.
  • Draft purchase orders and invoices for submission to the accounting department.
  • Maintain active order files and update customer accounts or orders as necessary.
  • Confirm credit status with the financial/credit department as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in a customer service-oriented environment.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record, with California licensure within 30 days.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be a dependable team player.
  • High stress tolerance and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to foster good customer and work relationships.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to learn database and ordering systems.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly stands, walks, sits; uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; talks and hears. Occasionally climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls; lifts up to 15 pounds.
  • Prolonged periods of working on the computer.

Environment/Noise:

  • Noise level is moderate.
