Surgical Nurse

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our team at Rhode Island Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical nursing and be able to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to pre-operative patients under stressful conditions.
- Perform duties of scrub nurse or circulating nurse during surgical procedures.
- Monitor patient progress and respond to life-threatening situations.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island.
- Up to one year of combined previous related and on-the-job experience.
Work Environment
The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and challenging environment with frequent exposure to anesthetic gases. Physical ability for extensive walking and standing is required, as well as the ability to lift, position, and push patients on stretchers.
