CSEA Inc is seeking an experienced Member Engagement Coordinator to join our team. As a Member Engagement Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting our member engagement initiatives in the Long Island, New York City and Westchester areas of New York State.

Key responsibilities include developing and attending visibility, engagement, and informational programs for CSEA Locals/Units and potential bargaining units. You will also represent CSEA Member Benefits at Region, Local/Unit meetings and other CSEA-sponsored events, present information in large and small group settings, and respond to concerns from members, activists, elected leadership, and staff.

In addition, you will make referrals to other CSEA departments, distribute and disseminate member publications and/or other union publications for internal visibility and external campaigns, prepare reports on member contacts and events, and identify and assist in problem resolution.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate and 3 years satisfactory responsible business experience, preferably in a labor union environment, which must have involved extensive public contact. Alternatively, you may hold a recognized college or university degree or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.

You will also need to become proficient in the use of appropriate computer software and hardware and have strong public speaking skills. A valid NYS driver's license and a car available for business use are also essential.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is approximately $50,952, along with excellent benefits including health, vision, and dental coverage, defined pension retirement plan, and generous paid time off plans.
