Job Title: Licensed Psychologist - Intake and Assessment - Region 2

Job Overview

  • Collect comprehensive background data from various sources, including referrals, family members, and applicants, along with document analysis.
  • Administer and interpret psychological assessments to identify intellectual disabilities and related developmental disorders.
  • Conduct thorough clinical interviews to gather pertinent information.
  • Assess and diagnose the nature and severity of psychological conditions through precise evaluation.
  • Provide recommendations for diagnostic eligibility concerning intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) services.
  • Record assessment findings and propose treatment strategies.
  • Utilize reference materials to accurately identify symptoms for diagnostic purposes.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficient understanding of applied psychology standards, methodologies, and practices.
  • Stay updated on advancements and trends within the field of psychology.
  • Familiarity with various psychological assessments, tools, and methodologies.
  • Competence in administering, scoring, and interpreting psychological evaluations.
  • Ability to analyze statistical data and generate clear, concise reports.

Qualifications

Must possess a valid psychologist license in the state of Georgia.

Preferred Qualifications

Specialization in intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD) psychology is advantageous.

Excellent communication abilities are essential.

Employment Prerequisites

Candidates may be required to undergo evaluations, receive vaccinations, and hold professional licenses that permit practice in Georgia.

  • Annual Influenza Vaccination*
