- Medical History Review: Review patients' medical history prior to performing CT procedures and confirm consent forms are signed.
- Equipment Operation: Position patients, monitor their condition, and control CT equipment to produce high-quality images.
- Contrast Administration: Introduce intravenous contrast material as directed by radiologists.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment, store film, and manage supplies to ensure efficient operations.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare patient information files and submit reports on examination results.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Experience: Minimum two years of recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist with ARRT certification required.
- Education: Graduate of a certified/accredited ARRT program required.
- Licenses and Certifications: Radiologic Technologist License (District of Columbia), Basic Life Support, and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Computed Tomography within 12 months of hire.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, push, pull, and lift patients, as well as perform manipulative skills and hand-eye coordination tasks.
- Communication Skills: Effective interpersonal skills, ability to communicate pleasantly and effectively with patients and coworkers.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in the use of applicable computer software and knowledge of customer-focused service requirements.
