Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Cleared Software Systems Engineer to become a vital part of our Cross-cutting Urgent Innovation Cell (CUIC) team. This distinctive unit at MITRE is dedicated to swiftly providing innovative solutions to pressing national security issues through robust customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

In the role of Senior Cleared Software Systems Engineer, your duties will encompass software engineering, database design, data analytics, and geospatial analysis within classified settings. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to explore and implement advanced methodologies to tackle intricate problems.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Possession of an active Top Secret clearance
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience accompanied by a Bachelor's degree
  • Degree in computer science, data science, or a related discipline
  • Proficient in software engineering and debugging practices
  • Expertise in Python and Linux/Unix operating systems
  • Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL database systems
  • Willingness to work on-site a minimum of 4 days per week

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Master's degree in a pertinent field
  • Experience in analyzing real-world data
  • Understanding of machine learning and computer vision methodologies
  • Proficiency in data science tools such as Pandas and NumPy
  • Experience with container technologies and cloud computing environments
