Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Concrete Construction Trainee. In this role, you will assist with the planning and estimating stage of projects, prepare accurate formwork layout drawings, and work closely with the project team to monitor safety, cost, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and estimating stage of projects to ensure efficient, safe, and economical form systems are incorporated into the project design.
  • Assist with the preparation of accurate formwork layout drawings and erection instructions for field crews.
  • Work closely with the project team to monitor safety, cost, and scheduling of construction projects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve concerns regarding structural design with the project team.
  • Aid in the preparation of quantity surveys, formwork estimates, and project proposals.
  • Assist in the coordination of material purchases, deliveries, tracking, and forecasting to ensure maximum utilization of Ceco's physical resources.
  • Manage special projects and complete all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.

Requirements

  • In the process of obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree.
  • Some knowledge of AutoCAD and/or BIM Modeling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to travel and work for an extended period of time on projects outside of the office area.
