Job Summary

As a Maintenance Lead at Martin Marietta, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our quarry maintenance operations. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong leadership skills, a focus on safety, and the ability to work effectively with a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct employees in all phases of quarry maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with all delegated limits of authority.
  • Schedule and organize employees to accomplish production operations, prioritizing tasks and resources to maximize efficiency.
  • Conduct daily safety and operational meetings with employees under your supervision, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Complete all reports and records as required, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities.
  • Ensure the proper care, maintenance, and location of all tools and equipment, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist in other jobs and areas of the mine, plant, and maintenance as directed by management, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Communicate ideas that might reduce costs and/or improve overall production, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all EPA standards are maintained in regard to oil spills, oil leaks, and dust control, prioritizing environmental sustainability and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead by example on all MMM safety rules and procedures, ensuring that all employees under your direction are following established safety policies and procedures.
  • Encourage employees to participate in Guardian Angel activities, promoting a culture of safety and teamwork.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 3+ years industry experience, with a minimum of 1 year supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Safety conscious, dependable, motivated, and positive attitude in working with others as a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work weekends and 12 hour+ shifts.
