NexThreat is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Systems Support Specialist to enhance our innovative team. In this capacity, you will be instrumental in the upkeep and resolution of issues related to our client's information systems and networks.

The ideal candidate will be tasked with ensuring the effective integration of system support and the overall operational efficiency across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, configure, and resolve issues with various Microsoft and Red Hat Linux (RHEL 5/6) operating systems within authorized ATO accreditation limits
  • Organize and plan the installation of hardware, operating systems, and software applications
  • Manage system accounts, permissions, and access to systems and equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve system outages and issues on a daily basis
  • Administer system resources, updates, patches, and enhancements
Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in a technical or managerial field is preferred
  • More than five (5) years of hands-on experience in system administration or a related area
  • U.S. citizenship and a SECRET security clearance are mandatory
Certifications:

  • Must possess a DoD M IAT Level II Certification
