At Constructive Partnerships Unlimited, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Counselor to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and empathetic individual to provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities who reside in our residential program. As a Direct Care Counselor, you will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, administering medications, and maintaining a safe and clean living environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including toileting, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Administer medications and topicals as prescribed by doctors.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment, including performing general housekeeping duties.
  • Accompany individuals to community inclusionary activities, medical appointments, and other outings.
  • Participate in in-house recreational activities and assist with planning and implementing individualized program plans.
  • Communicate effectively with clinicians, supervisors, and other agency personnel to ensure seamless care and support.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Ability to lift and transfer individuals safely.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position that requires working a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends. The ability to float to different sites and work overtime as needed is required.
