About the Role

The Maintenance Coordinator is a key member of the Facilities and Physical Plant team at Cornerstone University. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including the coordination of work orders, supervision of student workers, and project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work Order Coordination: Coordinate and monitor work orders, ensuring timely completion and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Student Worker Supervision: Mentor, train, and supervise student workers, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Productivity Monitoring: Regularly monitor workflow productivity and efficiency, making adjustments as needed to optimize performance.
  • Project Management: Coordinate and complete small projects, working closely with the Director and other team members to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including sub-contractors, students, and faculty, to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory and order materials as needed, ensuring that the team has the necessary resources to complete tasks.
  • Physical Key Management: Assist the Director with physical key management, ensuring that access to facilities is secure and controlled.
Requirements
  • Education: Undergraduate degree required.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in building maintenance or general trades.
  • Skills: Proficient with Excel and data communication through various reporting measures. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Personal Qualities: Forward thinker, excellent planner, and ability to work productively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands
  • Indoor and outdoor work in heat and dusty conditions.
  • Standing, walking, handling (constantly).
  • Pushing, pulling, reaching (frequently).
  • Climbing, squatting, kneeling, bending (frequently).
  • Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. (frequently).
  • Lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs. (occasionally).
Wage Rate

$20 to $21 per hour.
