About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Facilities Technician Assistant to join our team at Rockford Construction. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of our buildings, including minor repairs, inventory management, and assisting with apartment unit turns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by performing routine maintenance tasks and reporting any issues to the Assistant Facility Manager.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining accurate records.
  • Support the Assistant Facility Manager with apartment unit turns, including preparing units for new tenants and conducting move-out inspections.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
  • Communicate effectively with tenants and other team members to ensure a positive and efficient work environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn new software.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in facility maintenance or a related field.
  • Familiarity with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the facility maintenance field.
  • Experience with coordinating and supervising vendors.
  • Web-based Work Order and/or Yardi experience.
  • First Aid and CPR certifications.
