Boeing is seeking a highly skilled Data and Artificial Intelligence Platform Architecture Senior Manager to join our team in Seattle, WA; Chicago, IL; Plano, TX; Hazelwood, MO; Mesa, AZ; El Segundo, CA; North Charleston, SC.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a senior manager to lead our data and artificial intelligence platform architecture team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cloud-based development, web application architecture, and service-oriented architecture. They will be responsible for defining and building the strategy for our data and analytics platforms, driving simplification and consolidation of our data architecture, and building a resilient foundation for collecting, storing, modeling, and analyzing massive data sets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and build the strategy for data and analytics platforms on-prem and cloud
  • Drive simplification and consolidation of data architecture and data systems
  • Build a resilient foundation for collecting, storing, modeling, and analyzing massive data sets
  • Lead activities to define requirements, design, and verify robust data and cloud architecture
  • Ensure architecture functions are incorporated into software development lifecycle
  • Assess feasibility of architecture solutions and alternatives
  • Develop architecture and data/information management standards and strategies
  • Implement governance structures and frameworks on the platforms
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 10+ years of experience with web application architecture, service-oriented architecture, or cloud-based development
  • 10+ years of experience in hands-on software development, including applications running in AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • 3+ years of experience working in a cross-functional environment with all levels in the business
  • Experience with configuration of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for data ingestion
  • Experience with data integration development and maintenance
  • Experience in application integration, APIs, and Microservices
  • Experience with Information Technology architecture, including cloud and data architecture in a large-scale, hybrid cloud and on-prem environment
  • Experience training machine learning models in a cloud computing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding, and leading teams
  • 3+ years of experience using planning tools to build roadmaps
  • Experience leading cloud teams or architecture teams
