Job Summary

CommonSpirit Health, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse - Specialty Clinic to join our team. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will contribute to the success of our practice by demonstrating customer/patient focus, effective communication, and professionalism.

Responsibilities
  • Perform basic nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures.
  • Collect patient data such as vital signs, note patient observations, and report this information accordingly.
  • Prepare and administer injections, perform routine tests, treat wounds, and change bandages.
  • Prepare patient records and files using established medical record forms/automated systems and documentation practices.
  • Administer certain prescribed medications, monitor and document treatment progress and patient response.
  • Participate in the implementation and evaluation of patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
  • Convey information to patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Participate in teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing program required.
  • Current/valid Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse from the state licensing board required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) required.
  • Must have additional specialty certifications (if applicable).
  • 1 year experience in a clinic or acute hospital nursing setting required.
  • 0 - 1 year Specialty clinic experience preferred.
