Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc. As a Medical Laboratory Specialist, you will play a vital role in the patient care process by performing moderate and high complexity testing, analyzing and reviewing test results, and working in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a vital part of the patient care process through moderate and high complexity testing
  • Analyze, review, and report testing results
  • Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards
  • Champion safety, compliance, and quality control
Requirements
  • At minimum an associate's degree in laboratory science or Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology; or Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Biological, or Physical Science with 1 year of Medical Technology training
  • ~1 year of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing
  • ~ Basic blood banking experience is required for this laboratory
  • ~ Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
  • ~ Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing in general clinical laboratory
  • ~ Phlebotomy experience
