Position Overview

The Advanced Clinical Dietitian plays a crucial role in delivering evidence-based nutritional therapy to patients across various age groups who are identified as having nutritional vulnerabilities. This position entails evaluating dietary requirements, implementing medical nutrition interventions, and providing educational resources related to nutrition. Additionally, the role requires collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, mentoring new graduates and Dietitian I staff, and working closely with the healthcare team to set and assess nutrition-focused objectives.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food & Nutrition or a related field
  • Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
  • A minimum of two years of experience in clinical nutrition
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and interpreting comprehensive nutrition care strategies
  • Working in partnership with the medical team to define nutrition-related objectives
  • Supervising medical nutrition therapy and maintaining accurate documentation of nutrition care plans
  • Educating patients and their families about nutritional practices
  • Adhering to established policies, procedures, and professional standards
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development and growth
  • Demonstrating a commitment to delivering compassionate and personalized care for patients and colleagues
