Job Summary
As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide personal care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting individuals with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting individuals with meal preparation and nutrition
- Accompanying individuals on outings and activities
- Encouraging individuals to participate in community-based programs and activities
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- No high school diploma required
- No prior experience necessary, but a patient and compassionate attitude is essential
- A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance (for day and evening shifts)
- Ability to lift, bend, and move heavy objects as needed
