Position Overview
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) at KVC Missouri is dedicated to providing empathetic care and oversight for children and adolescents. This role involves assisting young individuals in reaching their therapeutic objectives through structured daily activities, imparting coping strategies, and fostering positive behavioral skills. BHTs collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, including nurses and therapists, to implement treatment plans, document client interactions, and ensure a secure environment.
Educational Requirements: A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
Licensure/Certification: A valid driver's license and auto insurance are required.
Experience Requirements: Candidates should possess a minimum of one to three months of relevant experience and/or training.
Compensation: Starting pay is $15 per hour, contingent upon education and experience, with additional shift and weekend differentials.
Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 21 years old. Pre-employment drug screening, physical examination, and background verification are prerequisites.
