Job Title: Family Partner, Prevention ECMHC

Eliot's is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Family Partner, Prevention ECMHC to join our team. As a Family Partner, you will work closely with families, early childhood educators, and community providers to provide support and education to parents/caregivers of children with special needs and/or behavioral health needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide community-based support and education to families, focusing on strategies to address behavioral challenges and prevent expulsion.
  • Collaborate with ECMHC staff, EEC program leadership, and educators to develop measurable family goals and Individualized Service Delivery Plans.
  • Engage families in activities designed to address specific goals and tasks on the Individualized Service Delivery Plan.
  • Assist families in meeting their child's needs through education, support, coaching, modeling, and guiding.
  • Teach families how to connect with community resources and communicate effectively with providers.
  • Support families in advocating for services and resources to meet their child's needs.
  • Guide, support, and foster empowerment, including linkages to individual, peer/parent support, and self-help groups.
  • Participate in feedback meetings and transition planning.
  • Provide telephone support and outreach to families.
Qualifications:
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in a human services field with one (1) or more years of experience working with children and youth; or High School diploma/GED with two (2) years of experience.
  • Must be a parent, guardian, or caregiver of a youth with special needs, and/or behavioral health needs.
  • Experience in navigating child and family service systems and teaching families who are involved in those systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with families in a supportive and non-judgmental manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with both professional and non-professional staff and have the capacity to work effectively with the service provider community.
  • Ability to actively facilitate the development of local and community resources.
  • Bilingual and bicultural skills are a plus.
Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday, full-time

Compensation:

$21.63 hourly
