Your Role
As a Patient Care Tech in the ICU, you'll work in partnership with the registered nurse to support patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
Monitoring patients at timed intervals and documenting data as directed
Reporting observations and patient concerns to the registered nurse
Obtaining and recording patients' vital signs accurately
Responding promptly to all call lights
Assisting patients with mobility and basic tasks, such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs
Maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and staff
Participating in purposeful hourly rounding and bedside shift report as directed
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
High School diploma or equivalent
Completion of approved CNA or PCT certification required, or may be in senior year of nursing school with less than one semester to complete the nursing program
Must maintain active certification with in the State of Texas
Preferred: 5 years' experience in acute or long-term care, demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy
