About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Pediatric Healthcare Provider to join our team at the University at Buffalo Otolaryngology. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also be able to work independently and as part of a fast-paced healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Perform physical examinations and obtain medical histories from pediatric patients
  • Diagnose and treat a range of medical conditions in children and adolescents
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests and x-rays
  • Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
  • Educate patients and their families on healthy habits and disease prevention
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their loved ones
  • Monitor and manage chronic health conditions in pediatric patients

Estimated Salary: $125,000 - $155,000 per year

Requirements
  • Valid state Physician Assistant license
  • Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • At least two years of experience working as a Physician Assistant
  • Strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
