Lakeshore Talent is partnering with a prominent oil and gas company to find a skilled Contract Lease and Title Analyst. This 6-month contract role has the potential for extension and is based in Denver, Colorado, with a pay rate of $48 to $56 per hour, depending on experience.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Lease and Title Analyst to join our fast-paced and dynamic land team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of recently acquired asset integration, with a focus on data quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret leases, deeds, agreements, title opinions, contracts, unit agreements, and other ownership documentation to ensure data quality within the Land management system.
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies to maintain a high level of data integrity.
  • Exercise strong analytical skills to interpret chain of title and lease and contract provisions.
  • Conduct independent research and complete special projects as assigned.
  • Develop a strong understanding of legal descriptions, including metes and bounds, abstracts, surveys, and parcels.
  • Understand county records websites and have the ability to run title, if required.
  • Understand lease and contract payments and obligations.
  • Liaise with other departments, including Accounting, Land, and IT, as well as landowners and government agencies.
  • Support land with due diligence and other activities related to acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Resolve and respond to owner relation inquiries directly related to Lease Records.
  • Generate various land reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with lease/land records, with Barnett Shale/Texas experience being a plus.
  • Deep understanding of oil and gas agreements.
  • Strong analytical, math, and communication skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Land Management systems, with the ability to learn new systems.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and obtain quality results in a performance-driven environment.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated problem-solving skills and ownership initiative.
  • Passionate and energetic about their work, with a commitment to a long-term role.
  • Team player ready to collaborate.
