Job Opportunity at Raytheon:

Raytheon is seeking a skilled test equipment design engineer to join their Sensor Test Solutions (STS) Department within Test Equipment Engineering (TEE). This role involves developing, building, and integrating advanced test platforms and architectures for various defense programs. As part of a diverse project team, you will work on creating test solutions for radar, sonar, communication, missile, combat control systems, and more.

  • Develop test hardware, software, and/or firmware for manufacturing or customer facilities
  • Identify test readiness issues and optimizations throughout the development lifecycle
  • Meet project budget, schedule, and performance commitments
  • Assist in test adapter design activities
  • Work autonomously and engage in personal technical growth
  • Present work product at project status meetings
  • Support Manufacturing operations with on-site troubleshooting and debugging

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 2 years of relevant experience
  • Background in engineering design and development, particularly in test equipment
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with TestStand, LabWindows/CVI, LabVIEW
  • Knowledge in Digital, Analog, RF, Power Supply test hardware and software design
  • Familiarity with VXI/VME/MXI/PXI/CompactPCI application development
  • Exposure to commercial test and measurement equipment
  • Understanding of VHDL and embedded system design

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary for this role falls between 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD and varies based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, 401(k) match, flexible schedules, and more, depending on the business unit and role specifics.
