Job Summary:

Raytheon is seeking a skilled Test Equipment Design Engineer to join the Sensor Test Solutions (STS) Department within Test Equipment Engineering (TEE). This role is ideal for engineers experienced in digital, analog, RF, or power test equipment design, who are eager to contribute to the development, construction, and integration of advanced test platforms and architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop test hardware, software, and/or firmware from requirements definition to deployment
  • Collaborate with Hardware Design and Operations teams to ensure manufacturing standards are met
  • Identify test readiness issues and optimizations throughout the development lifecycle
  • Lead a small team to meet project commitments
  • Support personal and peer technical growth
  • Present work product at status meetings
  • Assist Manufacturing operations in troubleshooting and debugging

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience OR Advanced degree with 3 years of experience
  • Engineering design and development experience, preferably in Test equipment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electrical Engineering degree
  • Experience in technical or project leadership
  • Familiarity with National Instruments' software
  • Knowledge of Digital, Analog, RF, or Power Supply test hardware/software design
  • Experience with VXI/VME/MXI/PXI/CompactPCI
  • Proficiency in VHDL and embedded system design
