As a Patient Relations Representative at Gastro Health, you will be responsible for:

  • Answering incoming calls and routing them to the appropriate personnel
  • Scheduling, confirming, and canceling office appointments
  • Working on referrals and importing demographics from the patient portal
  • Picking up voicemail messages on a daily basis
  • Verifying patients' health plan benefits and obtaining authorization, if needed
  • Assisting patients with questions and/or concerns regarding procedures
  • Requesting medical records from doctors and hospitals
  • Calling in new prescriptions and refills and obtaining authorization, if necessary
  • Obtaining lab results, including stat requests
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least 2 years of medical administration experience
