Patient Relations Coordinator

As a Patient Relations Representative at Gastro Health, you will be responsible for:
- Answering incoming calls and routing them to the appropriate personnel
- Scheduling, confirming, and canceling office appointments
- Working on referrals and importing demographics from the patient portal
- Picking up voicemail messages on a daily basis
- Verifying patients' health plan benefits and obtaining authorization, if needed
- Assisting patients with questions and/or concerns regarding procedures
- Requesting medical records from doctors and hospitals
- Calling in new prescriptions and refills and obtaining authorization, if necessary
- Obtaining lab results, including stat requests
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 2 years of medical administration experience
