Cornell Catering and Concessions Part Time/Casual Staff

We are seeking highly motivated and service-minded individuals to join our team as Part Time/Casual Staff at Cornell Catering and Concessions. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional service to our guests and contributing to the success of our events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain all Cornell Catering and Concessions service standards and professional expectations
  • Answer questions on menu selection and communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
  • Pass hors-d'oeuvres, replenish buffets, serve guests directly at served dinners, assist with Concessions events, and maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc.
  • Set up for service and break down a variety of different campus events, prepare and/or serve beverages upon request and standard practice, and work with our operations team to pack, prep, and stage events
Requirements:
  • Strong customer service skills and demonstrated experience in being a team player, ability to juggle multiple priorities, and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to follow direction and adhere to quality expectations and standards, and ability to stand for long periods and perform various motor skills such as lifting (50+ lbs.), reaching, bending, twisting, pushing, squatting and grasping
  • Bartenders must be 19 years of age or older, and previous restaurant experience is a plus, but not a must
What We Offer:
  • Training is offered as well as possibility for advancement within our organization
  • Hours vary anywhere from 5-19 per week, depending on events, and may include working other events depending on need and candidate availability
  • Actual hours will vary depending on business needs
