Job Summary

Cayuga Health System is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and support to our physicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical duties in accordance with NYS laws and regulations.
  • Carry out all assigned clinical procedures for the comfort and well-being of patients, per practice protocol.
  • Take and record patient vital signs.
  • Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment and supplies per protocols.
  • Assist physician/providers with clinical questions, prescription refills, test results, and other patient calls per practice protocols.
  • Prepare patient records for visits, as directed by physician/provider.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated clinical competency, including proficiency in aseptic techniques, sterilization, practice management systems, EMR, and scheduling protocols.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with basic keyboard proficiency.

Work Environment:

  • Onsite - Cayuga Center for Healthy Living - 310 Taughannock Blvd, Ithaca, NY 14850.
  • Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Mon/Thurs/Fri) - Part Time.

Compensation:

  • $18.00 to $22.00 per hour.
